February 2018 Event: Finding freelance work as an editor

I’m looking forward to hosting a panel on finding work for freelance editors at the next Editors Victoria evening meeting on Thursday 22 February 2018, here in Melbourne.

I’ll be chatting with three experienced editors who have experience in freelancing and/or employing freelance editors (and all three have also taught editing):

  • Lorna Hendry, a freelance editor, author and designer
  • Lu Sexton, a freelance writer and editor with a background in performing arts, theatre and local government
  • Sandra Duncanson, who has recently begun a new role as a publisher at Wiley after freelancing as a writer, editor and educational consultant.

This topic is relevant to freelance editors, and anyone who wishes to expand their work options or take on freelance work.

Update: The March 2018 newsletter has a review of the event written by Danielle Vecchio. (The newsletter is now archived on the IPEd website and available to members only.)
